Helen Hill has been in private practice since 2005. She is a graduate of Antioch University with a master’s in Clinical Psychology. Helen also has degrees in History and Education. Ms. Hill is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of California (MFC 47498).
Ms. Hill provides individual and family therapy for:
- Gender identity issues
- Women’s issues
- LGBT issues for young people, young adults and teens
Ms. Hill, utilizing Direct Therapy, is a firm believer in the power of therapy to heal. There is an experiential nature to therapy, whereby healing, illumination, growth, and recovery take place in the sharing of one’s experiences in order to better understand them.
She is a frequent speaker / guest lecturer on issues pertaining to human sexuality, psychology, gender, cultural issues, and women’s issues. (Venues include DuPaul, Columbia, CSULB, USC, UCLA, UC-Davis, UC-Irvine, UC-Riverside, St. Mary’s College, and many, many more)
Helen, a post-op transsexual female for many, many years, brings a depth of real life experience, knowledge, understanding, and compassion. Ms. Hill is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
